The Southwest is exhibiting varied weather conditions tonight. The radar shows a significant band of rain stretching along the California coastline, moving inland toward the Central Valley. San Francisco and Fresno are seeing consistent precipitation, providing some welcome moisture in these areas. Bakersfield is also experiencing rain showers, while Los Angeles has light rain, but it’s largely more mild across the Southland. To the north, Reno is receiving a mix of rain and snow, creating a winter weather mix that could make travel tricky. Snowfall is more pronounced in higher elevations, especially near Redding, where heavy snow is settling in. Flagstaff is currently experiencing light snow, adding a chill to the air. Las Vegas remains dry with no precipitation on the radar at present.
For this evening in Phoenix, enjoy a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Temperatures start at 81 degrees at 8 PM and gradually decline to 73 degrees by midnight. A gentle southwest wind at 11 miles per hour shifts to the west-southwest at 8 and then 6 miles per hour.
Tonight in the Southwest, temperatures are dropping significantly. Ely will experience a frigid low of 24 degrees, while Flagstaff is expected to see 33 degrees. Las Vegas, on the warmer side, will settle at 53 degrees. In California, Fresno will dip to 44 degrees, while San Francisco cools down to 49.
High temperatures for the Southwest region tomorrow will generally trend above average, with several cities experiencing significant warmth. Southern California, particularly the San Bernardino Valley, can expect scattered showers and heavier rain pockets. Be cautious of slick roads and reduced visibility in these areas. Snow may impact the higher elevations, complicating travel through mountain passes.”
