On the Regional Radar, precipitation is making its approach from the Pacific, with rain showers moving toward the northern California coast, around Redding. This rain offers a refreshing pause amidst dry conditions. As the system moves inland, expect the potential for snow in the higher elevations around Reno and Ely. Farther south, Nevada’s Southland, including Las Vegas, enjoys dry conditions. The area around Fresno and Bakersfield remains relatively calm, with no active precipitation observed. In contrast, Southern California, including Los Angeles and San Diego, experiences mild, clear weather, perfect for outdoor activities. In Arizona, Flagstaff could see some light snow showers, making for a chilly evening, while Phoenix stays dry under clear skies. Looking farther north, Salt Lake City maintains its dry spell, with no significant weather events at this time.
This evening in Salt Lake City, enjoy clear skies and a light breeze. Temperatures will transition from 57 degrees at 8 PM, cooling down to 46 degrees by midnight. Winds from the northwest at 6 mph early in the evening will shift to the east-southeast at a similar speed as the night progresses.
Tonight in the Southwest, temperatures are set to drop significantly, bringing colder air to many key cities. Ely will feel the chill at just 37 degrees, while Flagstaff is expected to see a frigid low of 34. Las Vegas will maintain a warmer night at 61 degrees, and Phoenix will also stay mild at 61. Meanwhile, Cedar City will cool down to 45 degrees. In California, Fresno will see a low of 52, Bakersfield at 55, and San Francisco dipping to 50.
