The regional radar shows a robust weather pattern unfolding across the Southwest. Salt Lake City and surrounding areas are experiencing snow showers, bringing a wintry mix to parts of northern Utah. Ely is seeing light flurries, adding a touch of snow to this Nevada locale. Redding, located up in Northern California, is witnessing rain, supplying some moisture to the region. Elsewhere, the weather remains clear, with Las Vegas, Phoenix, and San Diego enjoying dry, calm conditions.
This evening in Salt Lake City, temperatures will ease from 65 degrees at 8 PM to 57 degrees by midnight. Expect a cloudy sky transitioning to partly cloudy as the night progresses. Winds will be light, shifting from north at 8 mph to north-northeast at 5 mph by 12 AM.
Flagstaff will dip to a brisk 35 degrees, perfect for bundling up. Ely isn’t far behind with a low of 36. Las Vegas will experience a mild evening at 62 degrees, while Phoenix holds steady at a warmer 65. In California, Los Angeles will cool down to 52 degrees, while Bakersfield rounds out the night with a low of 51.
High temperatures across the Southwest tomorrow are looking to be above average. Phoenix will hit a scorching 91 degrees, while Las Vegas reaches 87 degrees under mostly sunny skies. In California, Bakersfield tops 80 degrees, and Los Angeles sees a pleasant high of 67 degrees. Further north in Fresno, temperatures are expected to reach 76 degrees. Cooler coastal areas like San Francisco will experience highs around 57 degrees, contrasting the warmth inland.
Expect a sunny day throughout the Southwest tomorrow with temperatures rising into the 80s in the desert regions. By late afternoon, isolated thunderstorms could develop over the Sierra Nevada and southern Nevada, potentially extending to northern Arizona.
