A dynamic weather pattern unfolds across the Southwest region with rain showers advancing towards Fresno, Bakersfield, and the Central Valley of California. Los Angeles and San Diego enjoy calm skies, basking under clear weather, while Salt Lake City remains under cloud cover with potential precipitation on the horizon. The Pacific Coast is experiencing a shift with clouds increasing towards San Francisco, but still largely avoid precipitation. Las Vegas continues to stay dry with clear conditions dominating its immediate weather forecast.
Afternoon temperatures in Salt Lake City climb to a peak of 87 degrees by 6 PM before slightly dipping to 86 degrees by 8 PM. Mostly sunny skies with a bit of cloud cover are expected as temperatures rise. A gentle southern wind at around 12 to 13 mph adds a touch of breeze to the otherwise warm day.
In the Southwest today, we’re seeing some sizzling high temperatures. Las Vegas is expecting a high of 99 degrees, while nearby Phoenix will reach a scorching 103. Over in Bakersfield, temperatures will soar to 103 as well, contrasting nicely with San Francisco’s cooler 70-degree high. Flagstaff will experience a more moderate day with a high of 75, providing a nice break from the heat in the region. Meanwhile, Los Angeles will warm up to 94 degrees, making it a warm day across much of Southern California.
Tonight in the Southwest, Las Vegas will see a mild 74 degrees, while farther north, Ely will drop to 47. In coastal areas, San Francisco expects a low of 53 degrees. Bakersfield stands at a steady 57 degrees, and Los Angeles will cool down to 59.
High temperatures in the Southwest for tomorrow, Phoenix is expected to reach a scorching 104 degrees, while Las Vegas will warm up to a hot 99 degrees. In California, Bakersfield will see highs of 94 degrees, and Fresno is not far behind at 90 degrees. Coastal areas will be more temperate, with San Diego experiencing a high of 81 degrees and Los Angeles at 83 degrees.
A high-pressure system dominates, bringing clear and sunny skies across the Southwest. Temperatures will rise, especially in the desert areas, soaring into the mid-90s. The Pacific coast of Southern California may see increasing clouds by evening due to a coastal marine layer.
