On the radar for the Southwest region, a band of rain showers extends from Reno to Fresno, offering some moisture relief for central California. Meanwhile, spring snow is falling in the mountains surrounding Salt Lake City, Ely, and Cedar City. Flagstaff enjoys clear skies, while Phoenix remains dry, as does most of southern California, including Los Angeles and San Diego.
Los Angeles enjoys a sunny afternoon with temperatures climbing to 68 degrees by 4 PM and peaking at 69 degrees by 6 PM, remaining consistent through 8 PM. A gentle breeze from the south-southwest at 9 mph accompanies the clear skies.
Today in the Southwest, we’re seeing some warm temperatures across the region. In Las Vegas, expect a high of 80 degrees, while Phoenix is heating up to 86 degrees, making it one of the warmest spots today. Southern California is also enjoying pleasant weather, with Los Angeles reaching 71 degrees and San Diego a bit cooler at 69 degrees. Meanwhile, Fresno and Bakersfield are both forecasted to hit 80 degrees. On the flip side, Flagstaff sits at a much cooler 60 degrees, showcasing some significant temperature contrasts within the region.
Tonight, Flagstaff is bracing for a chilly low of 33 degrees, while Las Vegas will stay slightly warmer at 63 degrees. In California, Los Angeles and San Diego can expect lows of 56 degrees. Bakersfield gets a mild low of 60 degrees, and temperatures will dip to 37 degrees in Ely. Over in Reno, temperatures will settle at 50 degrees.
High temperatures in the Southwest region are trending warmer than average tomorrow. Phoenix will hit a sizzling 91 degrees, while Las Vegas is expected to reach 87 degrees. In Southern California, Bakersfield will warm up to 87 degrees, and Los Angeles will see a pleasant 73 degrees. San Diego stays cooler with a high of 69 degrees, but San Francisco will remain mild at 65 degrees.
Tomorrow In Arizona and New Mexico, expect highs in the mid-80s, perfect for those outdoor plans. However, Northern California will experience several rounds of rain starting Tuesday night, potentially leading to slick conditions.
