The radar shows scattered showers across southern Utah, extending into areas near Cedar City, with precipitation also reaching Ely. In northern California, Redding is witnessing light rain, and the surrounding areas are expecting some storm activity moving southeast. In Nevada, Las Vegas remains dry with clear skies, while to the northwest near Reno, there is some light cloud cover. The higher elevations of Northern Arizona, including Flagstaff, have a hint of showers. Coastal cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles enjoy clear conditions.
This evening in Salt Lake City, temperatures start at 63 degrees by 9 PM, cooling to 56 degrees by 1 AM. Expect scattered thunderstorms early in the evening, shifting to showers later in the night. Winds will change direction from west-northwest at 10 miles per hour to southeast at 5 miles per hour. Keep an umbrella handy and be prepared for wet conditions as the night progresses.
Tonight in the Southwest, Las Vegas will see a low of 64 degrees, while Flagstaff drops down to 35 degrees, marking a notable drop in temperatures. Expect San Diego to be slightly warmer at 55 degrees, with Los Angeles close behind at 54. Over in Fresno, temperatures will settle at 56 degrees, while San Francisco dips to 52 degrees. In contrast, Ely is experiencing a significant cold snap with lows plummeting to 27 degrees.
