Across the Southwest, the regional radar shows varied weather patterns. Flagstaff is seeing light snow showers, suggesting a chill in the air, while Phoenix and Las Vegas continue to enjoy dry conditions. In the northern part of the region,. Light snow is visible farther east in the mountains around Salt Lake City. Moving into California, Redding is under moderate rain, providing welcome moisture to the area. San Francisco is seeing periods of light to moderate rain as well, contributing to a wet evening. Conditions remain dry in the central valleys around Fresno and Bakersfield. In the southern tier, Los Angeles is experiencing scattered rain showers, but it remains relatively mild. San Diego is dry, offering a calm weather evening.
In Phoenix this evening, enjoy clear skies with temperatures gradually cooling from 92 degrees at 8 PM to 80 degrees by midnight. Winds will ease a bit, shifting from 7 miles per hour down to 4 miles per hour out of the west. It’s a calm and clear night ahead.
Tonight, the Southwest region is bracing for some chilly temperatures. Las Vegas will drop to 61, while Cedar City sees a chilly 44. Flagstaff will be particularly cold with a low of 39 degrees as well. Over in Los Angeles, it will be a mild night at 54 degrees. Meanwhile, San Diego checks in with a low of 56. The overnight temperatures across the region indicate a notable dip, particularly in the higher elevations of Arizona.
Here’s the regional high temperature rundown for the Southwest this Wednesday: In Las Vegas, expect a warm high of 90 degrees, just a bit above the seasonal average. Meanwhile, Phoenix is set to sizzle at 99 degrees, well above average for this time of year. Cedar City can expect a pleasant 72 degrees, while Salt Lake City reaches 70 degrees. On the California coast, Los Angeles is looking at a high of 76 degrees, slightly above average, while San Diego will be around 72 degrees. Moving inland, Fresno will warm up to 88 degrees, and Bakersfield is forecasted to hit 91 degrees, marking a significant jump in temperatures.
“On the Southwest futurecast, the desert southwest enjoys clear and sunny weather, but the coast faces a different story. Expect several rounds of heavy rain in Northern California from Tuesday into Wednesday, impacting valley locations. Similarly, Southern California’s San Bernardino Valley sees shower activity with intense rainfall, creating hazardous driving conditions over mountain passes. Coastal areas should prepare for another moist system, with rainfall potentially causing local flooding. Stay prepared for weather changes over the next 48 hours.”

Thursday: The trend of mostly clear skies continues with a high of 93 degrees and a low of 66. Friday: Look for partly cloudy skies, with daytime temperatures reaching 88 degrees and dropping to 62 at night. Saturday: A cooler pattern with partly cloudy skies, the high will be 81 degrees with a low of 58 degrees.
