This season is proving unpredictable as Phoenix enjoys baking temperatures while nearby territories battle with residual winter chills. Explore detailed forecasts, temperature trends, and practical advice to navigate this varied climate. Stay ahead of the weather curve and ensure your plans remain unaffected by these diverse conditions! In the Southwest region, the radar depicts a dynamic weather scene. It might be the first week of Spring but winter weather is holding on! Flagstaff is experiencing snow, and the Wasatch Front has light snow that might affect travel. Over in Eastern Sierras, light snow showers are evident, adding a wintry touch to the scenery. Down south, Los Angeles and San Diego enjoy clearer skies with just a hint of coastal clouds, offering more mild weather compared to their northern neighbors. Across the coast, San Francisco is facing a few raindrops as showers move in, enhancing the moisture in the central valleys of California.
Expect a warm and sunny afternoon in Phoenix. Temperatures will steadily rise from 90 degrees at 3 PM to 93 degrees by 7 PM. Winds will be gentle, initially coming from the south-southeast at 3 miles per hour and shifting to the west at 5 miles per hour by late afternoon. Clear skies will persist throughout the day, making it a beautiful end to your day.
Let’s take a look at those afternoon high temperatures across the Southwest today. In Las Vegas, expect a toasty high of 86 degrees, making it a warm day for the city. Phoenix is really heating things up with a sizzling high of 95 degrees, definitely a day to stay hydrated. Meanwhile, in San Diego, we’re looking at a milder high of 76 degrees, offering more comfortable conditions along the coast. Farther up north, Fresno reaches 83 degrees, while Bakersfield warms up to 86 degrees. It’s a mix of warmth and cool across the region today!
The Southwest region will experience notable temperature drop. A chill that underscores the cold air settling in. Las Vegas will see a cooler night too, with temperatures dipping to 61 degrees. Heading farther south, Phoenix will stay relatively mild at 68 degrees. Over in Flagstaff, get ready for a brisk drop to 39 degrees as well, while Cedar City will feel quite cool at 44 degrees. In California, San Francisco will cool down to 52 degrees, and expect 57 degrees in Fresno.
High temperatures for tomorrow in the Southwest are expected to be quite warm, with many areas seeing above-average readings. In Phoenix, the high will soar to a scorching 99 degrees, significantly above the seasonal norm. Las Vegas can anticipate a warm afternoon, reaching 90 degrees, which aligns closely with average temperatures for this time of year. Over in Bakersfield, highs will hit 91 degrees, showcasing the heat across the region. Fresno will make it to 88 degrees, remaining comfortably warm. San Diego is looking at a pleasant high of 76 degrees, a bit milder compared to inland areas.
“On the futurecast for the Southwest, expect mostly dry conditions in Arizona and New Mexico with plenty of sunshine continuing through the day. However, turning attention to California, showers will persist in Northern California with heavy rain impacting the San Francisco Bay Area. Be cautious on the roads as wet conditions could lead to slick driving, especially in the mountain regions. Southern California will observe partly cloudy skies with a risk of isolated showers in the San Bernardino Valley. Keep an eye out for weather updates as these conditions evolve over the next 24 to 48 hours.”
Phoenix will experience a high UV index of 7 both today and tomorrow, with a burn time around 20 minutes in direct sunlight. It’s crucial to apply sunscreen to protect your skin effectively!
