In the Southwest region, the radar shows a dynamic weather pattern unfolding. Rain is making its presence felt in San Francisco, stretching inland over central California, providing a refreshing break for regions like Fresno and Redding. Meanwhile, snow is blanketing the northern Sierra Nevada around Reno, offering a wintery scene for those elevations. In the higher terrains near Cedar City, Utah, expect snowflakes to continue, adding to the scenic winter coat. Flagstaff, nestled in the mountains of Arizona, braces for potential snow showers adding a chill to the air. Los Angeles enjoys more mild conditions with light drizzle, offering a gentle shift from the weekend’s warmth.
For this evening in Phoenix, prepare for a warm night as temperatures ease from 95 degrees at 8 PM to 83 degrees by midnight. The sky remains clear throughout the evening. Expect a gentle breeze from the west-northwest at 6 miles per hour, calming slightly as the night progresses.
Tonight in the Southwest, chilly weather is settling in. Cedar City will see slightly cooler temperatures at 48 degrees. Las Vegas is forecasted to dip to 63 degrees, but keep in mind that temperatures are falling from yesterday. In Flagstaff, residents should brace for a crisp 39 degrees overnight. Phoenix, on the other hand, stays relatively warm with a low of 65 degrees.
High temperatures for the Southwest region tomorrow show a significant warming trend. In Las Vegas, expect a high of 91 degrees, well above the average for this time of year. Phoenix isn’t far behind, reaching a warm 93 degrees, indicating highs that are considerably elevated. e Cedar City will see a pleasant 72 degrees. Over in California, Bakersfield is poised to hit 84 degrees, and Fresno will be slightly warmer at 83 degrees. San Diego remains cooler with a high of 63 degrees, reflecting coastal influences. This warm pattern is being driven by high pressure settling over the region, making for a sunny and warm day across the Southwest.
“Looking at the Southwest futurecast, a generally dry and sunny setting prevails for much of the interior regions. However, coastal Northern California will experience a more active weather pattern with successive waves of valley rain expected into Wednesday. In Southern California, showers will once again target the San Bernardino Valley, accompanied by heavier rain. This could lead to slick surfaces in high mountain passes. Keep an eye out for shifting weather as these systems approach.”
The UV index in Phoenix is expected to be high on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a level of 7. This means a burn time of about 20 minutes when exposed to direct sunlight.
For the 7-day forecast in Phoenix: Tuesday: Expect mostly clear skies with a high of 93 degrees and a low of 65 degrees.
