Meanwhile, snow is blanketing the northern Sierra Nevada around Reno, offering a wintery scene for those elevations. In the higher terrains near Cedar City, Utah, expect snowflakes to continue, adding to the scenic winter coat. Flagstaff, nestled in the mountains of Arizona, braces for potential snow showers adding a chill to the air. However, coastal Northern California will experience a more active weather pattern with successive waves of valley rain expected into Wednesday. In Southern California, showers will once again target the San Bernardino Valley, accompanied by heavier rain. This could lead to slick surfaces in high mountain passes.
