Farther north, Kansas City is under moderate rain, but areas around Oklahoma City show heavier and more organized storm activity. On the East Coast, a long band of rain extends from New York down through Washington, D.C., affecting travel with steady precipitation. The Pacific Northwest, especially around Seattle and Billings, remains largely dry with only scattered light rain, while Denver enjoys clear skies. The Southeast near Atlanta and Tampa sees clear conditions with just a few clouds.
Today’s high temperatures reveal a striking divergence across the nation. In the Southwest, Phoenix is sweltering at a blistering 108 degrees, making it the hottest spot by far. In the Southeast, Atlanta reaches a warm 86 degrees, while Tampa experiences a steamy 93 degrees, showcasing elevated summer heat. Up north, Chicago sits at a cooler 92 degrees, providing a refreshing contrast to the intense warmth in the south.
Now for the low temperatures tomorrow morning across the U.S. The Northeast will start with a chilly 34 degrees in Boston and slightly warmer at 39 in New York City. Heading to the Midwest, Chicago will drop to 32 degrees, while Minneapolis dips to 30, marking a significant chill for those areas. Farther south, Atlanta will see a low of 39 degrees, and in the Southwest, Los Angeles will remain mild at 62 degrees.
Tomorrow, expect high temperatures to reach unseasonably warm levels across the region. Los Angeles will reach a scorching 108 degrees, well above typical readings for this time of year, while nearby San Diego stays cooler at 71 degrees. In the Southeast, Miami is set to feel the heat with a high of 91 degrees, and in Atlanta, temperatures will climb to 85 degrees, aligning closely with seasonal averages. New York will also see significant warmth, hitting 91 degrees as a heatwave influences much of the East Coast.
