On the radar, the West Coast of the United States enjoys clear skies, with no significant weather disturbances. Moving inland, the Pacific Northwest displays mixed precipitation; light snow is evident over the Washington Cascades just north of Seattle, which could impact mountain pass travel. In the Rockies, a pocket of snow is visible for the southern colorado mountains on and off, extending into southern Wyoming. Travelers should prepare for slow conditions. Scattered rain showers near Dallas may prompt drivers to take caution on the roads. As our attention shifts east to radar data indicating light rain across the Upper Midwest, particularly around Minneapolis, moving towards the Great Lakes. Snow showers east of Chicago may cause some snowy conditions on roadways as they move towards the Northeast. In the Southeast, pockets of rain are sweeping through the southern Appalachians, appearing primarily as rain in the Atlanta vicinity. Yet, the most significant precipitation impacts are noted to the east, where a disturbance is generating rain around the Washington, D.C. area. This system has the potential for the rain to intensify Overall, while many major cities remain relatively dry, it’s essential for those in affected areas to monitor local forecasts as some regions experience inclement weather conditions.

The Pacific Northwest, including Seattle, will experience persistent rain showers and potentially icy conditions in higher elevations. Meanwhile, the Desert Southwest, near Los Angeles and Phoenix, enjoys dry and sunny skies continuing into Thursday. In the Midwest, areas like Minneapolis may see light snow accumulations as colder air from Canada dips southward, while Chicago prepares for a transition from rain to potential snow as the cold front advances. The Eastern Seaboard from New York to Washington, D.C., could see rainy periods with the most significant impacts expected on Thursday.
