On the radar, rain showers are making their way into Seattle, offering a cool and refreshing start to the day. Continuing eastward, the weather in Billings is calm, but Denver is experiencing dry conditions. As we glance toward the central regions, rain bands are impacting Kansas City with steady showers expected throughout the day.
In the Midwest, Minneapolis is dealing with heavy rain and potential thunderstorms, so keep those umbrellas handy. Snow is making its presence known in Chicago; residents should be prepared for slippery roads and reduced visibility. The heaviest precipitation today will be across areas from Chicago to Minneapolis, bringing both rain and snow to the mix.
Farther east, Washington, D.C., is seeing rain, which might affect the afternoon commute. New York is currently dry, promising a break from wet conditions.
In the Southeast, Atlanta is waking up to clear skies, but keep an eye on the radar as scattered showers could develop later in the day. Farther south, Tampa enjoys sunny conditions with mild weather, a pleasant break from the rain.
Over in the Southern Plains, Oklahoma City is enjoying a respite from precipitation, as Dallas continues to experience calm weather, perfect for outdoor activities.
Starting in the West, Phoenix is heating up with a high of 99 degrees, making it one of the hottest cities today. Los Angeles offers a more mild day, with a comfortable high of 68 degrees, while San Francisco hits 66.
Moving into the Central Plains, Dallas warms up nicely to 84 degrees, but it’s a much cooler 72 in nearby Oklahoma City. Kansas City is on the cooler side as well, reaching just 56 degrees.
In the Midwest, 52 degrees in Minneapolis keeps it chilly, while Chicago manages a bit more warmth at 45.
Eastward, temperatures are a bit more moderate with Washington, D.C. at 57 degrees, and New York trailing behind at just 50. Meanwhile, Atlanta sees warmer conditions at 73 degrees, with temperatures in Tampa reaching 82.
Now for the low temperatures. Expect a chilly start across the nation tomorrow morning. Minneapolis will plunge down to 34 degrees, while Kansas City sees a low of 39 degrees. In the Midwest, Chicago will register a brisk 34 degrees.
Heading to the West, Denver has a low of 54 degrees, and Salt Lake City will be cooler at 57 degrees. Over in the Pacific Northwest, Seattle wakes up to 41 degrees.
In the South, Dallas will start at a mild 55 degrees, while Miami enjoys a much warmer 63 degrees.
High temperatures for tomorrow show a warm trend across the Southwest. Phoenix will sizzle with a high of 100 degrees, marking well above average temperatures for early April. Las Vegas is also heating up, reaching 82 degrees. Heading north, Salt Lake City and Denver will enjoy pleasant conditions with highs of 82 degrees as well.
In California, Los Angeles will see a comfortable day at 72 degrees, while San Francisco remains cooler at 64. The Pacific Northwest stays on the chilly side, with Seattle only peaking at 54 degrees.
Overall, a wave of warm air is influencing much of the Southwest’s forecast, making it a day for sun lovers.
A potent system tracks across the Eastern U.S., bringing a mix of rain and snow to the Northeast. New York City and Washington, D.C. may see rain transitioning to snow by Friday evening, potentially impacting commutes. Meanwhile, areas from Portland to Seattle are under a calm and mild spell, with some clouds but limited precipitation expected.
The Central Plains, including Kansas City and Oklahoma City, remain under mostly clear skies with seasonal temperatures. In the South, from Dallas to Houston, expect mostly sunny conditions with warmer temperatures reaching into the high 70s and low 80s. However, scattered showers may develop over coastal Texas by Saturday afternoon, providing a brief refresh from the warmth.
Southern California remains dry and pleasant under high-pressure influence, providing relief from any unsettled weather. Keep an eye on the rapidly changing weather in the Eastern U.S., especially for travel plans!
