The radar reveals a robust weather system causing significant rainfall from Oklahoma City stretching northeast through Kansas City, potentially leading to localized flooding. Scattered thunderstorms are actively influencing areas around Denver, but the skies over Houston and Dallas are calm at the moment, offering a respite from the wet conditions. The Midwest, particularly Minneapolis, is under heavy rainfall, creating commutes that will need extra attention. Light rain along the East Coast from New York to Washington suggests a damp morning ahead, with conditions expected to persist through the day.
Today’s high temperatures are reaching extreme levels across the nation. In the Southwest, Phoenix is blazing at an astonishing 109 degrees, leaving Los Angeles far behind at a comfortable 72.
